['bɪntli], David Julian, britischer Tänzer, Choreograph und Ballettdirektor, * Huddersfield 17. 9. 1957; wurde 1976 Tänzer beim Sadler's Wells Ballet, seit 1986 beim Royal Ballett; begann bereits mit 15 Jahren zu choreographieren. 1983 wurde er zum Hauschoreographen des Sadler's Wells ernannt, arbeitete ab 1986 als »Resident Choreographer« beim Royal Ballet und als Gast für München und Stuttgart. Seit 1995 ist Bintley Direktor des Birmingham Royal Ballet.
